The Belly Touching Controversy (and poll)

At the moment, I have to admit I don't really care if people touch my belly. But to be honest, the only people who have done so are my friends. But I'm curious how other people feel. Check out the bottom of the page and vote for your preference when it comes to others patting your bump.

    My vote is "I don't mind if someone wants to touch the pregnant belly."

    I wouldn't say I love it but my personal space guard goes down when I'm pregnant.

    I didn't mind if it was good friends, but co-workers or strangers would just freak me out. Mind you, only one person (a friend I knew well) ever touched without asking first, probably because I dress modestly with covering hair etc, which tends to put people off from any touching (I noticed many people also would shake hands with everyone else but not me, unless I offered my hand first).

    I didn't mind if people patted my tummy. If someone who grossed me out patted it I probably would not have liked it, but that never happened.

    I really don't like it, if I know it is coming it makes me more comfortable. I have actually had quite a few people not ask and/or then bend down and talk to my baby.
