RIP, Cacique Bras

I'm in mourning... over my bra. When I was home in August, I went to Lane Bryant, all very excited because I was going to replenish my ever-manky supply of cacique, non-wire soft bras. Well, turns out, they've discontinued the line! NOOOOOOOOO! What am I going to wear now?!? Honestly, I was almost in tears at the store. It took quite a large force of will to keep it together... I'll blame it on the baby hormones.

So what do I do now? I bought a wired bra, but I'll only where that when I HAVE to, and then a different non-wire. But it's just not MY BRA! I pray to God my 3 caciques last me out the rest of my nursing. Woe is me...

  5. I have three Cacique bras that literly fell apart at the seams; front and sides. Do you suppose there was a reason why the line was discontinued? I was given a sob story by the Lane Bryant store and they sent me on my way. I decided to do some research on my own. Help me out ladies.

  6. They should have replaced them for free, that's typically been LB's policy. But I'm not necessarily impressed with the quality of the craftmanship of LB clothing, so maybe they've realized they can't afford to replace everything worn that falls apart.

  7. I know this is quite a bit after the fact but, I just found out that that Cacique soft bra is no longer in the making. I just cannot believe that. I worked for Lane Bryant many years ago during a holiday season and I'm so glad that I stocked up on them then. And even before I worked there, I would go to the Buy 2, Get 2 Free sales. Now that it's been about 6 years, my Caciques are starting to show some wear. I guess I'm gonna have to break out the Duct tape and some sewing needles and hold on to my Caciques for dear life. I've even tied some of them in the back because I lost weight. Sigh...

  8. It's not the baby hormones, I was almost in tears too! I have been to several stores now, looking for a bra I liked as much, and haven't found one. I bought 3 at the Hanes outlet after trying on several (and by several I mean at least a dozen, maybe 2 dozen) styles. I am going to take them back because after about 2 hours I couldn't stand it. I ordered the "online exclusive" ones they had at lanebryant.com, and I hope they will be as good. But it only comes in black and white. So long pretty blue, pink, purple and green bras!

  9. I'm now wearing the only non-underwire that Lane Bryant makes, I do believe. It's ok and supportive enough, but it's just not the same, and my boobs definitely don't look great in them. I have some granny bras that I found over here in Ireland that definitely give me lift, but they're not as comfortable. I saw that Gok Wan has his own bras now, but they're all underwire. He's so tiny (and not a woman), so I'm not sure he can understand the plight of the larger, big chested woman. We need a LOT more support... and underwire HURTS!

  10. I don't know if you saw these ... I was googling to see if cacique made nursing bras but no. Saw your plight and checked cacique. They do have a soft cup no wire bra now. is that what you're looking for?
